Portland Library Redevelopment

Glenelg Libraries has been successful in securing State Government and Council support for a redevelopment of the Portland Library.

The main aim of the works is to enhance the existing Library space with new areas for children and young people, small group meeting spaces, study areas and a History Room to better showcase the Shire's rich historical past.

Construction is expected to commence in November 2017, aiming for completion in May 2018.

During the works the Library will relocate to a new home, at 56 Percy Street, Portland, but will still offer many of the same services, collections and facilities.
