
Glenelg Libraries is committed to the goal of promoting lifelong learning and believes it is essential to lay the foundation of a love of books and reading in the formative childhood years between 0-5.
Storytimes are one we way in which we can help to develop your child's love of reading. Each session includes stories, and a simple craft activity, and runs for approximately 30 - 45 minutes.
Portland - Fridays at 11am
Casterton - Wednesdays at 11am
Heywood - Thursdays at 11am
The Let's Read program is available at all branches of Glenelg Libraries, and includes information leaflets, suggested reading lists, and a selection of books from the reading lists, as well as a DVD to help you help your child with reading.

The Little Big Book Club has loads of great inspiration to help your child with reading, including tips, book suggestions and activity ideas.
The Five Finger test may help you and your child select suitable books for age and ability.
