STEAM Activities are back for Term 2, fun activities for school aged children focussing on Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics.

Mystery Bag Design Challenge

First up is our Mystery bag design challenge, teams will be given a bag of everyday household items and materials to complete a building challenge. This activity is suitable for children and young people aged 6 – 15 years.

Friday 4 May, 4:00-4:45pm
What's my Carbon Footprint?

In this activity participants will play team games to learn about their carbon footprint and how to reduce it. This activity is suitable for children and young people aged 10 – 16 years.

Upcycle Planting

This is your chance to upcycle a jar and some old stockings and plant a grass head to watch grow.  This activity is suitable for children and young people aged 6 – 15 years.

Engineering Challenge
Can you build a tower that can hold an apple? Join in this team challenge to design and engineer your masterpiece. This activity is suitable for children and young people aged 8 – 15 years.

Optical Illusion Art
Library and Information Week 2018 and Art Education Week 2018 will be marked by this ‘Op Art’ session, whereby participants will create their own work of optical illusion.This activity is suitable for children and young people aged 8 – 16 years.
