Author Event - Robyn Neilsen - Ricochet

Come and join former local Robyn Neilsen, as she launches her first novel Ricochet.

You could say that the reading of Robyn Davidson’s ‘Tracks’ changed Robyn’s life forever. Up until then she had raised her daughters in Gippsland, completed two Visual Arts degrees, run several 3 Bays Marathons, and spent a bit of time out in the bush or out on the Discovery Bay clifftops whenever she could. But turning forty sent Robyn on a mission. She would ride to Perth on a cheap mountain bike with a sleeping bag and no high-tech gear or knowledge whatsoever.

This book is written as a result of a fateful encounter along the way and the gift of the unexpected that saw Robyn dashing between a derelict hut in the south of France and her home in Australia.

Ricochet is essentially a contemplation of the small miracles and disappointments and the joys and betrayals that we experience each day.
